The Predictions Surrounding the Mayan Calendar in 2012

Some Mayanists believe the date marks the beginning of a spiritual shift for mankind. It could spark a new age of enlightenment, much like the Renaissance. Others believe it will cause extreme meteorological dangers because of the galactic alignment that will happen during that period of the winter solstice.
Even Nostradamus, the famous seer, has predicted events and (in)famous people like the Great Fire of London, Hitler, the assassination of Pres. John F. Kennedy and even 9/11. No one can pinpoint whether Nostradamus has indeed predicted any events concerning 2012 but scholars are racing to interpret his words. Some people think that Nostradamus's warnings of "great trouble among mankind" and "the heavens will catch on fire" refer to 2012
Even in Christian beliefs there is the Final Judgement, whereby God will judge every single one of us but before that the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will rain Conflict, War, Famine, and Death throughout the world. The Bible doesn't mention the exact date of this happening but some people believe the time is near.
The Mayan Calendar also brought forth theories that a planet called Planet X will hit the Earth, causing major disaster and death to millions of people. Others think that Planet X will bring about a shift in the North and South poles. It's also a possibility that comets caused by Planet X will also crash onto Earth.
