Three Scenarios For 2012
The possibilities about what 2012 might mean, if anything, are all over the board; however, there are three main possibilities within which we can lump them all. The scientific community, spiritualists, historians, and mystics have all checked in with their ideas and assessments. Let's look at the three main options and paint with a large brush.
Fear sells! Bad news is good news for the print and digital media. Therefore, the first major option would be under the title of CATASTROPHIC! Have ancient civilizations seen something that we're missing? Did they know something that we still don't and if so where'd they get their information? Are we looking at some sort of globally destructive cataclysm? Those who think so range anywhere from as asteroid strike, super volcanic eruption, interstellar pulse of plasmic field event, massive coronal outburst from the sun, and so on. The bottom line is that under this scenario there's simply no place to hide!
It's really BAD NEWS! :-(
The second scenario is ESCATALOGICAL or what is most often referred to as a spiritual transformation. I like this scenario much better. Enlightenment sounds so much easier to take, but would it be? It must occur to most that our world is in a deep downward spiral. Who could disagree on the economic spiral? The greed and religious battles that are going on under the name of terrorism simply must lead to either some very bad end or a very good beginning. The illusion of separation does seem to be losing it's grip. Just maybe a transformation is on the way.
The last scenario let's call PROGRESSION. In other words, life is just doing what life does. We go round on this ferris wheel once every 26,000 years or there about. We pass through the twelve houses of the zodiac approximately every 2,000 years. Stuff just happens as stuff is supposed to happen. There is nothing new under the sun. There's nothing to worry about.
I have taken a half dozen surveys over the past year, asking many questions and it seems that the world with which I touch is about evenly divided. One third think something BAD will happen December 21, 2012, one third think something GOOD will happen, and one third don't think anything at all out of the norm will happen.
Alas, 45 more months to wonder! :-)
