2012 Noosphere?

In the original theory of Vladimir Ivanovich Vernadsky, the noosphere is the third in a succession of phases of development of the Earth, after the geosphere (inanimate matter) and the biosphere (biological life). Will 2012 see the culmination of the fruit from a maturation of the noosphere? Just as the emergence of life fundamentally transformed the geosphere, the emergence of human consciousness fundamentally transforms the biosphere as well.   <!--more-->

In contrast to the conceptions of the Gaia theorists, Vernadsky's noosphere emerges at the point where humankind, through the mastery of nuclear processes, begins to create resources through the transmutation of elements. Teilhard de Chardin saw the coming noosphere as the "sphere of human thought" in the style of "atmosphere" and "biosphere".

For Teilhard, the noosphere was a sort of collective consciousness of human-beings emerging from the interaction of human minds. The noosphere has grown in step with the organization of the human mass in relation to itself as it populates the earth. As mankind organizes itself in more complex social networks, the higher the noosphere will grow in awareness- an extension of Teilhard's Law of Complexity/Consciousness, the law describing the nature of evolution in the universe.

Is the noosphere, this collective consciousness of 6+ billion people, growing towards an even greater integration and unification of life on our planet and in our universe?  Enter crop circles?

Is the ionosphere trying to communicate with us as the build up of consciousness attempts to break out or "bleed though" into our consciousness combining with an increase in magnetized plasma as Alexey Dmitriev theorizes? Sound all too complicated? Simply put, in the words of Peter Russell, are we developing a "Global Brain"? Are human neurons about to connect with some spiritual life force to bring all of human life forms into a new world- around 2012?

Sound too crazy? Everything is energy. Everything is everything- one. That as noosphere exists cannot be denied. What the noosphere is evolving into and what it will be in four years only the Creator-Consciousness knows. One day we will too.
